Bushehr Sightseeing Program; for freshmen International Students of Persian Gulf University
This cultural event was held on December 23rd 2025 with the participation of newly admitted international students of the university, with the aim of familiarizing them with the history, culture, and civilization of the city of Bushehr. The program featured a historical narration by Dr. Hassan Alahyari, Head of the Persian Gulf Oral History Research Group. During the event, the students toured the two historic neighborhoods of Kuti and Shanbedi, becoming acquainted with Bushehr’s historical monuments, architectural heritage, and neighborhood urban fabric. The sites visited included the Kuti Mansions, Sheikh Saadoun Mosque, E'saa Zohoor Church, and other landmarks in the Kuti neighborhood, as well as the Jom-e Mosque, Noʊ Mosque, Majlesi Al-Asfour, and numerous residential–commercial buildings in the Shanbedi neighborhood. Another objective of the visit was to introduce participants to the historic alleys and arches within Bushehr’s old urban fabric. Throughout the tour, the customs, traditions, and culture of the people of Bushehr, as well as the region’s history of resistance, were discussed and examined.
